This Cape Town tour includes a visit to the spectacular Fernkloof Nature Reserve, spanning over 2,000 hectares of mountain and coastal fynbos, home to an extraordinary variety of birdlife and small mammals. Nature lovers will also enjoy time at the renowned Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, celebrated for its indigenous flora and scenic beauty.

On weekdays and Saturdays, the journey continues with a scenic drive through Hamilton Russell Vineyards, offering insight into the region’s acclaimed viticulture and winemaking heritage. (Approx. 1 hour)

  • Clifton and Camps Bay

Rocky bayside town of Hermanus in South Africa

Renowned as one of the world’s premier whale-watching destinations, Hermanus offers exceptional land-based whale viewing directly from the shoreline. From the famous cliff paths and lookout points, guests can observe the Southern Right whales as they glide through the bay, play in the surf, and dramatically breach just offshore—an unforgettable natural spectacle. (Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes)

  • Whale Watching - The Southern Right Whale

Majestic whale tail emerges from the ocean at sunset

The Southern Right whale earned its name during the early days of whaling, when its immense size and tendency to float after being harpooned made it the “right” whale for hunters. Today, with an estimated population of around 3,000 individuals worldwide, the Southern Right whale is protected and celebrated as one of the ocean’s most remarkable species.

Guests will enjoy the opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures from land, where sightings are often remarkably close to shore. For a more immersive experience, an optional boat-based whale-watching excursion is available at an additional cost, offering a unique perspective of whales in their natural habitat. (Approx. 1 hour 30 minutes)
